Harwoods Basingstoke quote £505 for a second service, Kwik Fit quote £249 to complete the same service and maintain the manufacturers warranty, Service for Service quote £300 for the same.

What do you reckon, £505 is a rediculous price so would you look elsewhere unless the Stealers price match?

The dealer is a bit high, I paid £325 last year at the dealer for a second service.
Kwik Fit sorry would not go near them.

Don't dismiss Kwik Fit - my wife gets her X5 done there and they do a fantastic job!

Went there years ago when they advised that I needed new pads and discs, when I was having new tyres fitted, they had forgotten that they had fitted the new discs and pads about four months prior, never went near them again. If its a choice between someone who is trained correctly to do your car and a Jack of All I know where I would go, each to their own.

Find a specialist LR service centre, at least they'll have the tools and knowledge to do it, most likey ex-LR trained before going it alone

I find no faith at all in kwik fit type garages, they all have the feel of just finding things to try boost their sales, as AD210358 says, my mate whose brakes failed after they worked on them, my brother whose wheels were damaged by them, and the chap on RRSport who got part of the work done, but could not get the rest as they didn't have the tool to finish it

I'd be supprised if youed have that problem at a LR indie or LR themselves, and the piece of mind they have done it correctly  Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Try Guava in Guildford, probably cheaper than your local Dealer is quoting. Also worth getting quotes from other Dealers as their prices do differ even amongst the same Group. I was quoted over £500 by one Branch of my local Dealers and £440 by another and eventually got it done for £375.

Just had the second 30k service done although only done 14500 miles in my 2011 FL2, was originally quoted £440 but Taunton Landrover price matched another LR dealer at £400 including courtesy car and they did an excellent job, so shop around.

£388 for 2nd service for my FL2 through a LR dealer I always use, includes courtesy vehicle for the day.

I agree with other comments, you drive an expensive 4x4 so why try and skimp on servicing costs by going to someone like Kwikfit? Can kwikfit do software updates? I think not! Now - 2017 BMW X3 M Sport Carbon Black

Cardiff main dealer price matched local independent....... total cost £314.40 and a very good free valet

Went Back to Harwoods, asked them to price match an Independant Service Provider and they reduced their Second Service Cost from £505 to £320 inc courtesy car and valet.
