To those doubters!

I have a few PM's from certain members regarding my 20" Evoque wheels and that I dare not go out in the snow as it will be crap with 20" tyres.

Well all I can say in response, is your all talking out your backsides, in the recent snowy conditions, there was absolutely no difference in performance with these that the wheels and tyres I had before.

In relatively deep snow, it pulled off, didn't slip, drove up a hill where others didn't bother to go, and didn't get stuck.

So unless I am missing something, isn't this what the car is supposed to do in these conditions? Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

I keep reading posts on various forums that say that Low Profile tyres are no good in the snow, what has the side profile got to do with it, is it not what the profile is across the tyre that counts.

I can understand that if someone is running a 35 profile on a 225 wide tyre, like I have on my Astra.

But do people complain about Range Rover Sport? They run 275 40 20 tyres and I don't hear many complainging about those!

The thing is, some poeple think they know alot and actually know jack Censored . Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

The same wheels and tyres are fine performance wise on the Evoque, why should it be different on a Freelander Question

Very very true! If anything, they should be better on Freelander as you have a little more weight pushing them on the road! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Mav, your post's are all very good to read. I would take your advise and change my wheels tomorrow, but aim spent up.

Cheers Chalkey, this thread was just to make a point from those who have not got a clue about such things.
