It's great stuff, so I have been told particularly when stuck on an icy hill - had a can for several years in the boot, just in case, but never had to use it and neither will any Freely with proper winter tyres need it either I suspect 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Andy, I have proper winter tyres (Avon Ranger Ice, highly regarded in these parts), but with a steep slope and a foot of snow I'm still stuck! Winter tyres are good, but can only do so much.

The most adherent thing to snow is... snow.

We were discussing this Winter Tyre grip in the office as one guy has a BMW 330 with summer tyres which is absolutely useless in the snow. He can't even get snow socks on as there is not enough room between the wheelarch and the tyre so he is looking for something incase he gets stuck, at the moment his best solution is a bit of old carpet.
