I had 4 new boots just before christmas, looked at both the Grabber AT and the UHP as wanted something a little more grippy than the slightly cheap and very road pattern looking iota tyres that where on the car when I got it!

I just looked at those, thanks. Unfortunately, at 74 db(A) they are twice as noisey as most of their competitor tyres !! FL2 HSE Auto Galway Green

Cheers Keith, I've done my research listened to the great and the not so good and decided the UHP's are for me. I do alot of M'way work and do not spend enough time off road to warrant the AT's so a compromise is required and the UHP's seem to offer good off road performance but better wet braking and fuel economy over the AT's.

I'm looking at General Grabber UHP, the only off roading I do is when I go to the local farm show and park on the farmers field. Are the UHP an all season tyre that is M+S rated? Black Circle tyres told me they are but other retailers have said they are summer tyres?? Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

I'm on Grabber UHPs & have done 15k miles or so on them. I found them to be brilliant in the rain, quiet & grippy. Seem to be lasting well too. Plus they are a good price. Poke it, Poke it, make it do it again!!

According to General Tire the UHP is now discontinued and the replacement for them is the GT. Have ordered a set that should arrive tomorrow so once fitted will comment on them. Currently running Continental 4x4 Contacts and Landy behaves like bambi on ice in the wet. |

General GT has just come over to the UK and will be a replacement for the General UHP in time, we still are getting the UHP through with no problem at present.

Yep. I had general grabber at's, and they are both noisy and rubbish in the wet. Goodyear ultragrip winter tyres are much better all round. |

Not the findings of my customers, very good feedback on the General AT, in fact all the General range is very good and well priced. Andy.

Got to agree with AJS4X4 about the Grabber GT.Only had them on since saturday but first impressions are that they are quieter than Continental 4X4 Contacts and very sure footed in the wet with excellent grip and excellent in the dry. Just hoping for some snow to try that out. |

Well I finally opted for the Grabber UHP's £119.00 a corner, done 1000 miles and very impressed. Quieter than continental's, very good in recent frost and heavy rain felt surefooted and responsive. First impressions are very good and excellant value. Will update in snow and after 6 months. |
