United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Zermatt Silver
There is a big hole in my dry stone wall

The steeeeeep cobbled road down the Shibden Valley had been ploughed but not gritted this morning and when we looked at 8:30 it was a fair imitation of the Cresta Run so I went to the office the long way round

Apparently while i was out at work this morning someone decided to take the treacherous short cut and didn't quite make it .

Don't know if the damage to the wall was the crash or the recovery, but there are some car seats in the field so apparently the fire brigade have cut someone out. My neighbour said it was a Freelander, hope it's not anyone on here.

a sobering reminder that despite 4wd it can go wrong. 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

Contact the local brigade and make enquiries to claim for the wall, they might have details of driver, I can see the wall costing a fair bit to rebuild Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

had a good look at it today the car (It was a Freelander 1) must have gone a good 30 feet into the field through a 160 year old dry stone wall taking 15 or 20 feet with it (and a concrete lamp post). We got in touch with a real traffic cop today who was super efficient ( rather than the call centre people who field your calls) and we have all the driver's details for insurance. Dry stone wall man is around tomorrow. 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

I am currently working in the Halifax area and have 2 men doing some dry stone walling, don't take the first price offered for rebuilding, my lads will definitely do it cheaper.

Was going to say, if there was no sign of a vehicle it could be someone nicking your wall stone by stone.
