Loss of acceleration

I've owned my 2007 Td4 HSE for a year now & just had it serviced (not by Landrover). The following weekend i pulled out of my street (low speed) & just crawled along even through my foot was hard on the pedal, after approximatly 10 seconds every thing was back to normal & accelatrated fine & its has been fine since.

I've read on here about it could need a sotfware update or it could be Turbo trouble etc etc, i would like to think if it was turbo trouble this would only happen at speed or high revs, hopefully i'm not kidding myself Big Cry

Any advise would be appreceiated.
If is happeneds again i will take it to Harwoods & ask them to do a dianostic check.

Was it cold? Could be a fuel starvation problem, first check for me would be the fuel filter. And possibly a tank of v power deasil.

Hi Jon, yes it was very cold & I only drove the car around 50 meters when the problem happened. I just has the fuel filter changed when I had the full service days before it wouldn't have been a Land Rover part though.
Interesting comment about fuel if I'm honest I usually get my diesel from Sainsburys if this is a no-no please advise.
Many thanks in advance, Rob.

How cold is very cold? There is nothing wrong with supermarket fuel but I have heard that the winter performance can be compromised, where was the work done could it be possible the fuel filter wasn't primed correctly?

-2,not that cold now I think about it. I had the car serviced through servicestop.co.uk & they used a garage along the road from where I work & there reputation is pretty good.

I am not sure Land Rover make a filter for the FL2. The "genuine" filters are made by Purflux and I am not sure anyone else makes one so I wouldn't worry too much about the quality of the filter. Certainly sounds like fuel starvation so maybe you have an airlock in the system. John

Sounds like a wrong filter, or there is an air leak somewhere into the fuel lines. Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

If there is an airlock or the filter wasn't primed properly will this correct itself or do I need to take it back in to the service garage ??

You'd be better taking it back, you don't want it to starve when you need a bit of acceleration, ie onto a busy roundabout Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35
