Yes they are plug and play, I fitted mine last Tuesday. Its so nice to buy something that fits and plugs in to all the standard harness and screw holes from the LR manufacturer.

You haven't said what is non genuine on your car Mav. Is it 'relay bypass' electrics you have or third party 'plug and play' looms like supplied by Witter etc. It's only 'relay bypass' that cannot take full advantage of programming and for a manual gearbox vehicle there really is no advantage in changing now. Programming would give you a dash light and rear sensor disablement, not much more. |

I am assuming it is relay by pass, as I think it it is wired in to the rear relay box. It hasn't given me any problems what so ever, I just wondered if the genuine kit offered some advantage. But by the looks of it, you get more advantage if you drive an auto. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. I had my tow hitch and 'plug and play' loom from Witter and fitted locally by a specialised 'trailer' firm, they also programmed my car by switching on the options.
