Under DAB Settings it is possible to enable FM traffic alerts. If you enable this function even when using DAB the radio will broadcast any traffic alert messages transmitted by a station on FM. Indication on the screen will be 2 icons showing TP and TA

When i say he waffled on about Traffic, the ALARM was on the screen for 3 sec's and i heard the work "car" and "snow", it sounded more like general chat than a traffic report

Indeed there is an emergency broadcast service in the UK. Have heard it a few times in the limehouse link tunnel, last time the message was "warning, obstruction in the road" Works pretty well irrespective of whether you are listening to radio, cd, dab or whatever. Must be FM as my freelander doesn't have dab I am not saying it is your fault, I am simply saying that I am blaming you. |
