Chris, This may help. I installed the LR004480 Aux. Driving lights the other day and it had me install the switch right where you want to put yours (if I read your post right). I want to attach a scan of the fitting instructions (p 14) that shows where you want to do install the switch, but can't figure it out. I recommend downloading the fitting instructions for the aux driving lights from to get some clue how they do it at the factory. It may come in handy.
