Gents I've got a bit of a problem with my boot unlatching. Since yesterday any time I open my car using the key fob my boot unlatches, this happens every time I use the key fob which made me think it was a problem with the fob, However I spent a bit of time in my car last night waiting on someone and when I opened the car using the unlock button on the dash the boot opened again. Then when I turned my radio on, ignition off, it opened again. Then When i started the car it opened as soon as I pressed the ignition on button.

tailgate issues normal stem from the tailgate electric switch, it fills with water, a simple enough job to change or simply clean it. If Im wrong and replacing/cleaning it doesnt work at least you have saved yourself a future problem |

wee update - Changed switch and everything is perfect now. Thank goodness for that I had visions of wiring looms and pieces of trim all over the street.
