2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Zermatt Silver
new tyres today...

..the first time I've ever had 4 brand new tyres !!

I plumbed for SCORPIO ZERO ASIMMETRICO for £608 in total from Bush Tyres.

I've swapped from Continental UHPs and the difference is brilliant. The new tyres are much quieter and the ride is very smooth.

the only thing I've noticed is the car pulls really slightly to the left.. It's a phone call to Duckworths tomorrow.

Thanks wiggy!

I recently replaced the stock Conti UHPs with Firestone Destination ST all season sport truck tires. The different is also amazing! On-road and highway noise as well as handling is superb! When I went off road recently, the tires performed admirably. I feel the Destination STs are a good mix of on-road and off-road performance for a decent price. They can also perform in snow, from what I understand.

Did mine last week. Vredestein Quatrac 3's. Reasonable reviews and seem pretty good. Time will tell I guess.

One of my rear tyres had a sidewall puncture after just a few days. Great! Brand new tyre knackered! I had it sent away to be re-vulcanised as no one would repair it, but within a few days I noticed a slow puncture. So aanother new tyre was inevitable. Having finally got round to ordering one yesterday, it was completely flat today. No problem, I'll put the spare on and leave the other out ready for the new one.
Spare now on and it's not a failure on the sidewall repair, but a blooming great nail through the tread! So, effectively 2 puntures on the same tyre within a few days of each other, how unlucky is that?
Nevermind, a nice new spare instead of the nearly bald one.
