Looking at iPod speakers for daughter (10) for Christmas, she has an iPod Nano 7th generation which has lightning connector.
Anyone on here any ideas as to a decent one, I have an original Apple speaker on my PC but she's not having it and they don't seem to do them anymore.

I had mine side by side with the Bose unit when bought but proffered the sound of the Apple device.

Any help or pointers gratefully received

What's the budget?

We are running a Nano not sure what version on a Klipsch iGroove HD its mains only but I rate it as good as a Bose unit, had it 2 years no issues, well used iPhones frequently in & out of it also.

Hmm, lets say £200, it looks like its going to cost £25 for a darn adaptor, seems that Apple have brought out lightning and yet nothing fits it

Do the latest nano have wireless AirPlay or anything?

Sound dock series 3 is supposed to work with iPhone 5 which is same connector

But can't see anything online at moment to confirm

No Wi Fi only bluetooth.

Is there mileage in looking at micro/mini hifi rather than a dock, she has some CD's?

Think you may hit the same issue, not a lot of gear out there specifically for Nano 7, although the Bluetooth is great for wireless headphones.

Or a good amp with speakers, if you can't dock due to the port, and need an adapter the might as well make it a lead and a hifi
