Bluetooth

Have been finding the bluetooth vey hit and miss in Freelander.

Somedays works OK others not at all, even doing the same sequence of events can lead to different results day to day

Had wondered if anyone had come across or even better taken some pics of the bluetooth unit, might be able to use the latest upgrades in D4 etc or perhaps the new facelift model might incorporate better technology.

England 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Baltic Blue

Facelift model now includes bluetooth streaming and is I think basically the same unit used in D4 and Evoque.
Don't believe it is possible to upgrade the original unit which is I think one of the reasons LR went for the new unit in the facelift.

Not had a problem with bluetooth connection in my MY11 Freelander, phone connects first time, every time but then again phone is a pretty basic Nokia.

Never had a bluetooth problem, I've used an ancient Nokia and now using the latest HTC smartphone. Once paired it just connects and disconnects automatically on starting and stopping, I can't sing its praises highly enough.

Don't know if I am one of the lucky ones, in that the head units can be 'iffy' or it is extremely sensitive to phones. Confused
