Car will not lock Suspect water

My good lady was out in our freelander two this morning and came slowly through a flood, about 12" deep but got swamped by a lorry comming the other way.
Now the car will not lock on the remote key fob.
The locks all work on the lock/unlock buttons on the facia.
Any thoughts. Not a problem before.

Where do I start looking

Put it in the warm garage and see if its dries it self out overnight?

Definitly water somewhere. I have now managed to lock it but now it will not unlock. Will try again in the morning.
