Did anything come of this. I'd like to retro auto-lights if it's cheapish. New: Freelander2 GS 62 plate (MY13) - Santorini Black with Clearview & Front PDC
Old: Freelander2 XS 09 Plate - Zermatt Silver with ST3 remap (eco map), Garmin 1490T Sat Nav, Rear Seat Entertainment kit

2009 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Zermatt Silver

I've found part number LR007066 available which appears to be the sensor. I assume I'll need a switch part too (one with "auto" setting).

Any idea of what else I'll need? New: Freelander2 GS 62 plate (MY13) - Santorini Black with Clearview & Front PDC
Old: Freelander2 XS 09 Plate - Zermatt Silver with ST3 remap (eco map), Garmin 1490T Sat Nav, Rear Seat Entertainment kit

Starting to answer my own Q. but with a Q. The online Microcat system has the following part numbers:

MODULE - WINDSHIELD RAIN SENSOR, WITH AUTO HEADLAMPS (17D547)

LR000467 -> (V)8H057871

LR007066 -> (V)8H057872 - (V)9H999999

LR014238 -> (V)AH000001

What are all the V numbers about?

I've found the switch part too (LR005194) and the associated auto wipers columns (LR017769) New: Freelander2 GS 62 plate (MY13) - Santorini Black with Clearview & Front PDC
Old: Freelander2 XS 09 Plate - Zermatt Silver with ST3 remap (eco map), Garmin 1490T Sat Nav, Rear Seat Entertainment kit
