FL2 anti theft hood switch location

I have a freelander 2 i6 on a 07 plate. My alarm keeps on going off so was advised to get a new bonnet catch switch but
I don't know where it's located. Can anyone help please?

Thanks Colin

It's part of the right-hand (from the driver's seat) hood latch.

Hello mate,

Is it at the side, front or back of the engine bay on driver's side and do I need to remove anything to get to it?

Cheers Colin

I'm only going by the workshop manual, so I don't know what you'd need to remove to get at it, but it's part of the latch itself. I.e. the hood has two latches, one towards each end of the front edge. The receptacle for the RH one (LS if you're standing in front of the car looking at is) incorporates the switch.

Thumbs Up nice When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car
