Hi everyone,
Came across this forum while looking stuff up about Freelanders. Decided to go for it and picked up this (early) 2011 SD4! It's an auto, HSE spec and has the ivory windsor leather interior. Loving it so far, but got caught up checking out other bits (it has a few small stab like dents above the offside rear wheel arch) and missed that the parcel shelf has been gouged a few times >_<
Dealer had agreed to pick up the tab for the small dents in the wheel arch (he's got a guy who pops the dents who's in the same area as us). However, we didn't notice the parcel shelf till we got home. He's got a contact who can maybe provide a quote for fixing it up ("might be under 100), but considering that used ones on ebay seem to be on sale for around 120ish, it might not be worth it? The scratches are pretty deep (the plastic housing on the side is also scuffed/scratched), there was enough pressure to distort the surface ![]() Worth fixing up? Alternatively, anyone recommend a place to consider picking up a replacement? Once these bits are sorted, then I can chill a bit and just enjoy the car ![]() |

Thats pretty good if its a used one, seen someone carrying a sheep in the back, so goodness knows what the next owner will find, the dealer could possibily use the wool to pull over the new owners eyes I suppose so he thinks hes getting a baaaaagain. |

Perhaps go over the scratches on the loadspace cover with a black permanent marker and then they wouldn't show up so much?

![]() Thanks for the suggestions, will have a look around and drop Dan an email. I think the permanent marker will be the way to go for the short term! ![]() I've also found some small slight scuff marks/scratches. They're smooth to the touch, so I'm assuming the paintwork itself is ok, but do any of you have any recommendations for a detailer (I guess?) who could sort it out in the Guildford area? Cheers all, Mkm |
