Ah. I couldn't see much difference between that and the Select, tbh. I already have cheap breakdown assist and as for loan car, I'd use the wife's Astra. I have a feeling the full warranty was more time and mileage limited than the Select, although I don't have the small print to hand.

woke up a bit more laid back about it today, so its broken, warranty should cover it and if it doesn't then that a whole different matter

I'm sure Farnells Leeds will fight my corner to make it happen, was thinking of taking the kids to see Blackpool lights at the weekend, but don't think i'll bother risking it Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Odd how so many diff's seem to go, especially yours!

A mechanic worth his salt will tell you a diff should outlast the car, no amount of abuse should do a diff. Yours having an easy life must be getting the crap ones chosen for it! Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

Yes, thanks for the post. Approved warranty only covers up to five years. Select goes up to 10 years BUT only covers 25k miles from inception. Hadn't noticed that before - I'm going to have to take a look at my paperwork. Shocked

Edit: Just checked and it's 25k miles per year. I'm not likely to hit that!

Replaced the diff. Sounds like they reworked it the first time round, which is not what I was told then, which is quite annoying to be honest

But starting to think what's going to happen next now Confused Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
