You'll have to find the W-Bus wire from the FFBH and connect the W-Bus wire from 1533 to it.

You wont be able to start it without activating it in the CCF file with the help of SDD.

So there is no need to get access to the burner at all? Do you have a picture or something that shows the cable(w-bus?) that has to be tapped? I don't have the telestart part in my 2007. FL2, TD4 HSE The flaming Orange! |

No, there is no need to access the burner directly.

Great! Thanks mr! Am I correct in assuming that I can tap into both wire marked with 1 and 2 on this picture? FL2, TD4 HSE The flaming Orange! |

So if I understand you correctly, You apply w.bus to pin 24 to start the FBH.

Yes.
Yes.
To summarize: 1. The dialog with the burner can be made via pin 24 on the connector above CJB as in the previous pictures. 2. You can use the ThermoTest software on the burner without problems. 3. Without activation you can diagnose the burner, view various parameters, clean errors, test different components, etc. 4. Without activation you cannot start the burner with anything. It will respond with a NACK (not acknowledge) at the start command no matter who sent it (1533, telestart, ThermoTest, etc). 5. The activation of "remote control" with the help of SDD will update the firmware in several modules. 6. After the activation you can also start the burner with a 1533 timer or a telestart module or ThermoTest program or anything that talks w-bus. The burner on FL2 is a little less "independent" and more "close" to the car than on D3/4. It takes some of the information for proper function via CAN from the car. So, without activating with SDD (and changing the firmware in HVAC and CJB modules) the burner cant get those information and therefore it wont start. But the other parameters/functions can be read/used. Just not the start burner command. |
