I guess their product will only be as good as the sample given to them. Everything nowadays is made in China anyway |

Let's get one thing clear, I'm not suggesting copying anyone's product. There isn't a company yet that I know of which produces snorkels for the FL2. I remember reading a topic on this forum where someone was planning to develop a raised air intake, all I'm suggesting is that it would be a lot more affordable to get one mass produced in China if a sample has been made. |

one of the guys at the meeting last weekend told me he is getting a 3d printer at work soon.. There are no snorkels I know of that fit the FL2, but we decided that it would be possible to design and fit one using the intake vent to hold some sort of expander arrangement and up top on the roofrack mount..

I got a price for the design of a FL2 snorkle - nearly £10k, by the time you have bought a sample wing, done the 3d drawings, got a 3d print to try up against a vehicle (we have a 3d printer in the office) and got the first proper moulded sample.
