I use the Autoglym stuff that came with the car. I've had 3 cars in the last 6 years, and I'm still on the original pack. I cleam it about every 4 months, properly mind, it takes all morning......

Stand on the rear wheels to do 3/4 of the roof, then stand on the front wheel to do the rest. Just don't slip off.
I never use a brush on the bodywork, I did once on a previous car & it put fine scratches all over. It took me months of T-cut & polishing to get rid of the mess. I now use a micro-fibre glove/mitt with plenty of shampoo & water, then blast all the suds off with a pressure washer. Poke it, Poke it, make it do it again!!

A soft brush is fine, as long as it's properly rinsed and clean every time it's used.

We are talking about a Land Rover here , aren't we? There must be some pampered examples out there!

Mine's black & shows every little scuff. Pampered? Oh yes  Poke it, Poke it, make it do it again!!

I use a caravan type brush with a long handle, one bucket, same bucket of suds does all the car, hose it off, dry it off with micro fibre and have loads of swirls.
It is just a car after all
