Anyone know if speed limiter has been included in the spec of the latest FL2?

MY13 Freelander is now virtually identical in terms of controls and functionality to the rest of the range. AS I mentioned earlier you can set an audible warning if you go over a set speed as you can in the other vehicles.

Still behind in real terms, the Merc cruise control will also hold speed downhill and can be set to not allow you to go over a certain speed, that is driver selectable, that's before you get onto distronic that will also maintain a distance away from the vehicle in front. |

Mine doesn't speed up when going downhill, so there must still be a difference between LR systems. ______________________

Adaptive Cruise Control with Queue Assist is available on the new Range Rover and will not only keep you a set distance from the vehicle in front but also stop your vehicle if the one in front stops. There is some pretty good technology coming with the new Range Rover which will in all probability roll out to the other vehicles as they are replaced by new models. |

Not quite Dave - A speed limiter caps the maximum speed whereas Cruise control maintains a minimum speed - if you press accelerator it will go faster So a long drive back on a dual carriageway littered with camera vans...setting the speed limiter is fab....whatever you do with your right foot you know you won't accidentally be above the speed limit (well if you've set the speed limiter correctly) |

We have started getting the vehicles at work speced with CC and Limited Speed, on a three position rocker switch, down is CC, middle is off and up is Limited Sped, very good if your on the Controlled Speed on the Motorways, when you cannot hold the speed limit all the time, put you can stop yourself exceeding it, same around town, limit it to 30mph and a lapse in concentration keeps you below the limit. There is an override on the throttle pedal, press it to the floor and you can feel it press a button to allow you to go over the limit, your chosen limit then flashes until you fall to the limit again, you still have the rocker switches on the steering wheel to adjust the speed and to Resume or turn it off, use it more probably than CC. |

Maybe off topic but does the MY13 have an option to show which gear you are in on the auto when in normal use? i.e. not in command shift. - 2007(57) XS Auto, Rimini Red, Alpaca Leather.
