I use a car washing brush, like this one and it works an absolute treat.

i just use one of those extending wash brushes with hosepipe connection. |

Ive got an aluminium platform step ladder, 3 steps high plus platform, 120kg maximum load, from Homebase and they have a nice silver label on the side that goes nicely with the Stornaway Grey paintwork
