Drive away locking - can it be switched off?

Hello, I'm new on here as we have just bought an 09 Freelander S Auto.

I'm sure that in some territories the automatic door locking when you drive away is a useful anti car jacking feature, but we just find it irritating.

Does anyone know how it can be switched off please?

Any help appreciated

Thanks

Mac

I'm going to guess it has to go to LR to have it switched off.
I've got two stage unlock and it drives me insane.

LR dealer can reconfigure the car to disable drive away locking.Dual stage unlocking can be cancelled by your self.

The two stage unlocking is done on the Fob, (RTFM) it's in the manual page 6 on the MY11

To disable two stage unlocking, unlock the vehicle and then simultaneously hold the lock and unlock buttons for three seconds. The vehicle will lock and then unlock and the hazard warning lights will flash twice to confirm the change. Thumbs Up 2013 RR Evoque Pure Tech

Thanks Bugblatter. The two-stage locking was driving me mad too 1Wish. Hopefully this fix will work on my older car.

Thanks for advice re auto locking, I'll trot off to the dealer to get it changed.
