Just been reading on BBC news that the CPS reviewed evidence and declared no further action on a lack thereof.

What do you propose - dig him up and take him to court? There is NOTHING that can be done. Wouldn't surprise me if people crawled out of the woodwork after money. His estate will have been dissolved so there should be no money to be had. IF the allegations are true is money going to make it any better? It's just PATHETIC accusing people of things when they can't defend themselves. If it was real and so bad then go to the authorities at the time, not now. All you have is hearsay. |

And your proposal is what exactly He's dead we can't prosecute him, maybe learn from the mistakes? Victims can be councilled, more than likely they will want to embellish a story that cannot be proved in the hope of receiving a hand out from the highest bidding editor. |

I hear your argument but not convinced about investigating him directly, those around him at the time, then yes. It seems to be coming to light that other people knew.

He isn't around to pay the price so what is the point? There can't possibly be justice other than digging up his coffin and putting it in a prison cell. If it was my daughters I would be very angry, but as he is dead there is nothing to do.

Seriously there is not going to be one scrap of genuine evidence. If my daughter had confessed something like this had happened in the past I would say they were daft for not coming forwards at the time when there may be some concrete evidence. Please don't get me wrong - I am not playing down ther seriousness of any sort of sexual crimes against women. I am in favour of much more severe punishments. What I don't feel happy about is this 'trial by media'. You just need a vengeful woman to regret last nights drunken fumble and cry 'rape' in the morning wrecking some poor blokes reputation forever even if no charges are ever brought. Look at Matthew Kelly's career after his accusations. A crime should be investigated in private not in the papers. I'm sure this is all about money and a man who cannot defend himself. |

An investigation is needed because if true there might have been others involved who are still alive. |
