Very fortunate I would say. I've had water over the bonnet of my Fl1 and buried another so deep water covered the interior floors/boot. But I managed to keep the air filter out of the water - bit it was close and coughed/spluttered and I had the instrument pack going crazy all the way home :-/ |

Older FL1 dieseel has a float that shuts off the air intake in the nearside wheel arch. It then breathes through the small air intake next to the winscreen under the bonnet.

1.8 K was the same as the 2.0 L, was a good simple solution that worked well. |

my workmate drove his fl2 into a flood on Friday, the engine stopped and the footwell flooded when he openned the door.
