What I would like to know is why they always want to seek said asylum in this country?

I feel truly sorry for genuine asylum seekers and really feel we ought to look with forgiveness on those who arrive by plane from their country of origin.

Strangely enough, no one goes to Russia? Probably because they would get trodden on upon arrival. |

There was a program on tv a couple of years ago about UK border control welcoming the asylum seekers in telling them dont worry we will look after you, give you lots of money and your own house to live in, welcome! They wouldnt get that anywhere else thats why. |

Oh yes, and if they don't get what they want, they get free legal representation to make sure their rights are protected.

I think we have to discriminate between genuine refugees who we, as a civilised country, have a chance to help and the 'economic migrant' who sees this country as , as has been mentioned a soft touch.

I know it's a bit wide of the topic but I really think we should get out of the EU right now. We're the third largest contributor to this politically-correct corrupt mess and it's time we stopped wasting our money.

Very good article. The key issue being that just pouring money on a problem never works. Applies to this country as well. Instead of benefits, able bodied people should be enrolled in state funded work programmes. If they won't work, no benefits. 2013 RR Evoque Pure Tech
