United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Rimini Red

Only fit the cross braces when you need them! Rails by themselves do not cause much noise..... JT Upgraded to an ex demo, 7 mth old, Rimini Red/Ebony Napoli Auto HSE on 28th Jan 2011, added roof rails, mudflaps and side strips.
Gone - A great 57 Plate, Auto SE, Bought Feb 2009, Roof Rails and Mudflaps added on purchase. Blue colour, anything but drug dealer black.....

Russia 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Sumatra Black

Hi! I have the sunroof and LR007220 rails since July and everything was fine and silent at any speed till yesterday. While driving after a rain the similar noise, at 70 km/h and over, did appear..Looks like the long rubber (or plastic?) self-sticking spoiler underneath the fixed crossbar is gone away all at once Sad It's hard to notice at first glance as the strip is rather clandestine there, but the result is terrible...
Has anyone experienced the problem ? Is the sticker sold separately maybe? Search didn't help Sad

It's missing from mine too, trololoka, and I haven't been able to find a replacement. So if anyone can be of assistance, I'll be very grateful as well. Leopard tank drivers never stop at anything.

Glad to hear, Oscr, how long did you enjoy the silence? My brand-new crossbar lasted for about a month, the spoiler peels off times easier than a sticker-label... start to doubt sanity of LR constructors...
I've googled a few cases of unexplained noise with the proper combination (sunroof+LR007220), guess it might be the reason.

I've gotten immune to the wind noise, actually. But I would still like to have it fixed. And I'm wondering if there is a way to screw it in place, sort of lock it to the crossbar? Leopard tank drivers never stop at anything.

I think a good heavy-duty double-sided tape (not too thick, to keep the gap) or a glue could work. There is not even a trace of adhersive left on the bar exept a thin line of something dry and friable in the middle Shocked .
A couple of flathead screws maybe could supplement adhersive just to ensure spoiler from flying away, it's too flexible and must ajoin the bar full-lenth closely.

Been there, done that, trololoka. The tape-trick didn't help. Wear and wind will quickly tear it off. Leopard tank drivers never stop at anything.

I still can't believe the spoiler isn't a replaceable spare part.
UPD: yes, it isn't Sad Just went to the nearest OD parking to examine an intact one LR006608 2012MY, looks like the missing part was just a square (approx. 7x7mm) strip of plastic, congruous to the ribs on side covers, am I right?

Restored the plastic strip with a rivet gun, some RTV SILICONE ADHESIVE SEALANT, a piece of old body kit plastic and black spray paint. The ends of spoiler are indented in the side undercovers Smile silent up to 130kmh so far
