France 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Narvik Black

Just done a 1,500 mile drive in France and recorded 40mpg by the brimming the tank method. My car is a 2007 model with 37000 on the clock. In France it is dead easy, set the cruise control at 2,000rpm in 6th gear and watch the scenery roll past hour after hour! Smile John

After reading through the MPG feedback posts on this thread, I can expect between 30-40 mpg on Wranglers, depending on how quickly I accelerate to around 70mph.

Thanks. Whereabouts unknown stop going to follow stream until reach civilisation stop message ends

MPG & Trip Computer?

Just wondering what people tend to get MPG wise out of their Freelanders?

I read on the 2SO thread that someone is getting nearly 40 MPG.

I'm getting 31/32 MPG in my TD4 Auto and I drive fairly moderately. Drive 50 miles a day to and from work mostly on dual carriageway and motorway.

I know I'm never going to get high MPG in a vehicle of this size but if I should be getting closer to 40, there could be something wrong and I'd like to get it fixed. Be interested to hear what others get.

Also when I reset the trip for MPG, everything else in the trip computer seemed to reset. I fairly certain this shouldn't happen and it should only reset the item currently selected.

Cheers... Discovery 4 HSE - Aintree Green

On long motorway-type runs my manual td4 hits 40mpg. More usually it's in the high 30s, but it's seldom used for very short runs or stop/start city driving.

TD4 manual and getting 37 mpg on mostly single lane A roads. Longer runs on dual carriageway and I'll get over 40 mpg.

36MPG average. Mix of motorway/A road and occasion shopping trips (<10 miles)

If we didn't go shopping I'd expect 40MPG+ Very Happy ...
