I have a question. Why would anyone spend time and money to have that grille? It looks so much worse to me!
Whereas the original grille is so impressive with its kind of Ranger Rover style, the HST grille looks somehow cheap.
Does anyone really prefer this look or is it just the fun to modify things?

I think it depends on the cars colour, personally I do like the HST grill, but prefer the original one on my car Smile Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Maybe it is just the fun to modify things Question but my guess it is that it desire to look different from the crowd, which could be caused by an inferior complex Whistle .
However I quite like the HST grill Embarassed Embarassed , but won’t be fitting one on my HSE, as nobody here would notice the difference any way Laughing 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

I sure as hell won't be fitting one on mine.

I just can't believe that you have to hacksaw the old one out and stick the new one in with double-sided sticky tape. Exclamation Exclamation

Like Chris, i fitted the sports kit myself, starting with the grill Very Happy Fairly straight forward, and you don't have to be that tidy when cutting the old grill out as the new grill fits inside the nice big whole you make!

As for fitting the rest of the kit, it would be useful to have another set of hands available, especially when fitting the rear lower spoiler as it's one single piece..

The adhesive it pretty potent stuff too... make sure you are on the money before pushing the body parts home as i doubt you will get a 2nd chance.

There are some photo's of fitting the kit in my gallery if interest.

Do not want to change the grille on my SE auto but need to access the area behind it so we can fit an electronic two tone sounder to warn all the dozy rally spectators that we are coming through as we nearly hit one on The Cambrian rally in Penmachno forest last month. T
The FL2 is so much quieter than the rally cars and we travel the stages to check them at least an hour before the first competitor so they are still half asleep.
Any words/pictures that help would be much appreciated.

I fitted this to mine, it was very easy as described. I like the old grill but fitted the sports one to be different, I think it is a nice change to have one without the rest of the sport styling pack. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather.
