well it looks like they kept the best to the last, never been a fan of LED day lights but they look alright also i hope the electric handbrake is better than the one fitted to the Discovery 3 (i prefer a lever)

Electric handbrake is same as Evoque and different to the one in Discovery.

Thought next Freelander wasn't due until 2015/16.

I've got an 09 plate that I'd be interested in trading in for a MY13 soonish. However, I fear that the gap between my XS and a replacement is too great. LR are pushing prices very hard and seem to be still able to make sales. New: Freelander2 GS 62 plate (MY13) - Santorini Black with Clearview & Front PDC

I agree but I will push my budget for a MY13. I have an HSE but will only be able to afford at a push the XS.

What colour would you go for if you changed?
You have obviously had a leaning towards grey in the past.
I have settled on Orkney. (Would have had Lago but it is discontinued) for mine having discounted Borola and Havana so it will not look a lot different However I'm still not sure

Looking at a radical change and I liked the Mauritius Blue when I spotted it on an Evoque. Not 100% on it till I actually see one in the flesh on a FL2. My local dealer has said the cars should be in the showroom next month and they are taking orders already as they have the spec's to work out the costs
