I have the same. I took it back to the dealer about a month ago. The said they'd dealt with them, but I think they must have just cleaned them a bit, as they are going rusty again.

Same here and mine is only two months old. To try and stop the rusting I smeared the locking wheel nuts with grease which now attracts all the road dirt which makes the alloys look even nicer

My car now nearly 7 months old and my wheel nuts are as new from the day I bought it.........no rust or tarnish. ______________________

Using alloy wheel cleaning products which usually contain phosphoric acid or a precursor of it is the most likely culprit as it will attack the metal that the locking nuts are made from, and will be retained within the convolutions of the labyrinth of the locking nuts. Even more worrying is the possibility of fracture of the nut when removal is attempted due to metallic crystalline failure brought on by the acid attack. |

We had our rusty nuts replaced by the dealer FOC. Car nearly 12 months old |
