It's about the right price for genuine ones, try Duckworths, they price them at £44 and free postage to forum members. |

Just don't waste your money with Halfords ones, I have a set if you want them, only used them for one week, the only time I've known wipers that sweep a dry screen with no noise but when it rained they screeeeeeetch screeeeeetc |

Whilst here in CH the wipers are part of the original 3yr LR warranty her Ladyship's FL2 comes out of that in November so I'd be interested to know if you have the Lidl or Aldi product codes for the FL2 wipers you are referring to. Both these supermarket chains have recently opened about 25kms from here. And, if you think GBP£54 is expensive - the price here in Switzerland will have you contemplating euthanasia |

A year ago a set of replacement wipers cost me £40 from my local LR dealer. Not sure about the current price but would be surprised if they have increased by £14. |

Indeed Iain, but gross salary is not the same a "disposable income" so it is misguided to refer only to salary. For example food costs approximately 27% more than in the UK, here we have the second most expensive health care system in the world, clothes, books, insurances for life, car, housing, compulsory 3rd party liabilities, legal insurance (no legal aid in CH), etc etc and not forgetting the new price of your FL2!! But importantly, as I retired upon the birth of my daughter eight years ago (the shock of first time fatherhood in the autumn of my life being too great to concentrate on matters of global importance and the associate travel obligations) a salary plays no role in my existence. |

I, for one, buy supermarket ones (Champion or Bosch for example, because on all of them is written Made in China) and then, because it's easy, I am changing only the rubbers blades from one to another.

I bought a pair of "Delco" brand blades off the 'bay. Cost about £7-£8. Really good. 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

e-bay from wiperblades.co.uk. Absolutely no problem with them. LR ones are supposed to have a special softer rubber compound, hence the price. So they say. |

my local VW dealer has a separate car accessory shop and they are about £8 each, they seem to last a couple years. |
