Yes. My car is an SD4 HSE, 190 PS and auto. the 'cough' appears after slowing from a prolonged period of cruising speed - eg coming off a motorway after a long drive (over an hour). Dealer is aware and has suggested I try running in the semi auto mode - ie change manually - then report back so they can investigate. They suspect a software issue.

Harwoods Edenbridge. Been a customer of theirs for 12 years, so I trust them to sort it out.

United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Auto Santorini Black

Oh dear, my 2011 SD4 Auto has stated doing this. normally after a run on the motorway, but not always. As you pull off and it goes to change into 2nd gear it feels as though you have switched off the engine, just for a second.

It also sometimes feels it is misfiring at about 1500rpm. I have resisted booking it in as I know it will not do it when I take it to the dealers, and it will come back with no fault found. It would be best if it went completely then at least they would be able to fix it. I'll keep an eye on this thread and see what the others find.

While it's in I might give them a 5th go at fixing the loud crack from the dash when you go overt a sharp bump. In fact I would swear it has scuttle shake, something I haven't had since my 1965 Triumph Herald.

Perhaps you should book into the same dealer as me?
Similar symptoms etc.

Got a 2012 manual, same issues but after a hard blast they dissapear. Wondering if it is air in the fuel? Will get this looked at on first service.

Harwoods quickly diagnosed a faulty pump in haldex and a rear dif electronic thingy, also a new front suspension strut, which is out of stock for nearly 2 weeks Sad
