Tried it just now on mine, alarm is not triggered by movement inside the car and yes the sensors are present.

Tried mine also, cooked myself for a few minutes but did not set the alarm off

Interesting, thanks for trying it out, I have sent an EMail to 'Duckworths' my preferred dealer asking why, so may get an answer on Monday.
It says in the manual (besides other reasons) when double locked that the system will sound if, "Movement is detected within the vehicle interior" and the alarm will sound due to movement of air currents. Well I clapped my hands quite close so I'm sure I created a few pressure waves in there.

Reading Topix, it says if 'volumetric' sensors are installed then a 'single lock' press will be shown as activated by a quick flash of the turn signals and a subsequent press within 3 seconds to 'double lock' will be shown as active by a LONG flash of the turn signals . So a short and a long flash, mine does two short flashes

Even more confused.

Think mines the same, on a single lock I get one flash and a second flash when double locking. Or two quick presses and two flashes of the indicators. The LED on locking and double locking, the LED will flash quite quickly three times then a pause then three more flashes, this will do a total of nine, three flash sequences then settles down to a single rhythmic flash about five seconds apart.

Reading this thread, no one has actually posted that their alarm does work.

I know, perhaps we have all assumed everything works as it should.
Topix says "if fitted", surely we haven't got a dummy casing on the roof lining

Have you tried yours since?
Does your indicators set with a short and a long flash? or two short flashes.
Has the option been turned on in software?

Topix states that an open window will stop the volumetric sensor from activating, so in that case you will still be able to poke your head inside an open window and wave your hands around without the alarm going off.

Our tests was with us sitting inside with doors and windows closed.

Could they have been left in "Transit Mode" after delivery to the dealer? Not sure how that operates.

It really surprises me that everyone on here are so unconcerned about their cars security, it was a small thing to ask others to try and that is what a Forum is supposed to be about Perhaps help is a one way thing here and a rattle here and there is more important than protecting your 'pride and joy'.
