Just some more comments, altought I've not been back to my problem incline yet, but hope to get round to it quite soon !

Tyre pressure:

I certainly am going to try my incline with lowered tyre pressure. Initially at a pressure that will increase my footprint by 50% and then take it from there ...

Automatic:
I always drive in Command Shift mode. My FL2 have decided numerous times in the past to "attack" obstacles in 2nd gear, only for me to find out very soon thereafter that I need more power. So now I prefer to do it my way ...

DSC:
This option during off-roading seems to be hugely influenced by driver preference and style. I certainly prefer it off as I was not happy with it's interventions up to now ...

GRC:
I've never been able to get my GRC working and have tried a few times. HDC seems to work reasonable well, although I think that maintaining the speed at half the current setting would have been more effective. Apparantly the FL2 manages the speed between 5-7 km/h. But as for GRC, who knows, it's apparantly in our FL2 ...

Momentum and Approach speed:
At this stage I'm still "trying out" my FL2. I specifically do not want to use momentum to clear obstacles as I want to understand and experience what/when/how my car does and reacts to different conditions. I certainly understand that the "correct" approach speed will make most obstacles easier, but for now I basically start at the bottom of every obstacle from standstil until I'm happy that I "know" my Landy ...

RPM:
For me it definately works better if I try and maintain my RPM at about 2000 or above.

Speed and momentum are good but you must be sure your not going to catapult yourself to a place of no return , unless you have an escape route then only go to places the fl2 will get to under its own steam not with a huge run up. Tyre pressure will make a lot of difference but I would like to have a good compressor with me to make sure I could blow them up again, re-inflating all four is a big ask for those little 12v pumps you can get.

For maximum off road fun take the caravan with you, drive the fl2 to the top of a long steep slope, un-latch the caravan and watch the destruction


Ps. watch out in North Leeds today its Mrs Georges first day at work in the fl2 I fear she's going to attempt to crush a few cars monster truck style
