It's because they forgot to paint it! And what earth are u doing under the bonnet? |

a chap was servicing the aircon, and i was stood chatting, looking at the engine area thinking its a little dusty and needs another wipe down and coat of 303 protectorant spray and then got looking at the bonnet and noticed the rusty parts |

wash the top, but very rarely wash inside the bonnet, but i'll clean it over the week end and see what Lr have to say, either on the paint warranty or the LR extended warranty |

I remember after my Disco had a replacement front wing it showed similar rust spots after about a year.

Haven't checked for this car but usually the warranty covers PERFORATION. So you have to have a hole in the bodywork to qualify. Check the small print. |

i always give the engine compartment/ under the bonnet a light spray with wd40 just gives it a little bit exter protection . rainy-city

found rust near the bonnet lock catches going into landrover tonight will ask, should be coverd under warrenty rainy-city
