1. There hasn't been any snow since I got mine, but I tend to think auto would be better. Unlike old fashioned auto boxes, modern cars will slow down if you ease off the gas.

1. No snow since I got mine either but the auto does change down as you slow and brake so the engine braking is good.

Not sure on the saving on the ££££££ Athelstan, there is less than 1 mpg difference between my SD4 than my old manual. |

1. Snow is easy leave it in auto and let her work her magic. Ice now that needs respect, if you can, avoid it in any vehicle, if not then command shift into first and leave it there.

Well I secured the car with a fully refundable £250 deposit today and the payment terms have been agreed. I just didn't want to avoid disappointment at such a great deal. I just have to inspect it and drive it to make sure I don't want my deposit back
