Towing Mirrors.

I'm sure this was discussed recently, but I can't find it now..... Embarassed

Did someone come up with a solution to Millenco towing mirrors clamping onto the door mirrors, with out the clamp feet lying twisted? I recal someone had found alternative feet, but I can't remember where I saw it, or where they were bought from.

My local caravan dealer sells the mirrors, but not spares for them...

Didn't even know there was a problem with them so thanks for the info. Love the Grand Aero mirrors, easily the best out there. Ours - 2008 Stornoway Grey HSE Auto

With the original flat pads I found there was a tendency to over tighten and it would push the pads to the edge eventually the mirror would come loose, the V Pad clamps the edge tighter, especially in the wet. Thumbs Up

Towed with my V pads the other week in the wet, and again Friday

My grand aeros were so much better, less wobble and I think they clamped on easier Thumbs Up

If "the thing "you are towing is the same width or narrower NO PROBLEM

BUT if it is bigger use a commercial set-up.

(or why bother at all!!)get some one else to do it !! Thumbs Up Wales

I've had two trips, first one my GA used the standard pads, thought they vibrated a bit more than my standard aeros, but when I went for the second time I upgraded to the v pads and I think they performed better, no where near as much vibration, clamped on easier and felt more secure

Thanks - I can understand the V working better but why are they sold as 'for FL2' and 'with a lip' - got my thick head on today!!

It's the visor on the top of the mirror housing, makes it a not so snug fit, I think some Korean Censored has a similar difficulty with the mirror housing Thumbs Up
