I agree with CG - that's a beetle. I think it does make a difference; beetles just wander in from outside but cockroaches live and breed inside.

I think it would be fair (and perhaps judicious) to edit the title.

But I agree with others, Premier Inn has always been fine as far as I'm concerned.

Perhaps if the room hadn't been so FILTHY ! oh it was bad including the bathroom I may of overlooked the bugs running around in the bathroom but even the floor was filthy ! as you could see in the picture.
I Google'd images of beetle and cockroaches and that was how I suspected it was a cockroach and its size.

Back to my spotless caravan me thinks !oops and I'm due up Yorkshire soon as well ! may be travel at night to keep the locals happy.

Unfortunately Travelodge has become the grubbiest dirtiest chain of budget hotels in the UK. I would rather sleep in the car. Premier, Days, Holiday Inn Express, Jurys ( £55 our corporate rate !) all are head and shoulders above Travelodge, there is one half a mile from our office on the amusingly named Dick Lane in Bradford and we would never in a million years put anyone in it - rant over 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

Try staying in a Romanian motel! I stayed in one where even the cockroach was dead, the washbasin fell off the wall, the curtains didn't cover the (ground floor) window, and all they had for breakfast was cheese. No bread just cheese.
But the average cost is about a tenner a night, and the diesel is cheap, so maybe it evens out. (And the girls are beautiful...)
