Australia 2009 Freelander 2 i6 SE Auto Santorini Black

Three and a half years, 96000 kms -60000 miles - very happy, would certainly buy another. Pretty satisfied with the dealership as well. It's not been fault free, but it has got me where I wanted to go and brought me back. More reliable than most cars I've owned.

2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Santorini Black

52000 miles in 2 years. Love the Freelander and am poised to buy another. Sadly the dealers treat you like an inconvenience, even when trying to buy a new one. Maybe they treat range rover customers better?? Because of this am now looking around at what else is on offer so I may end up in another brand after all. (Coming) 2016 RR Evoque td4 180 HSE Dynamc
(Going) 2013 TD4 GS Auto - Santorini Black with black leather. Cold Climate, UK Lighting & Armrest Packs. Privacy Glass. LR Rubber Mats. Full size spare.
60 000 miles averaging 35mpg

(Gone) 2010 TD4 Manual GS - Stornoway Grey. Sold at 3yrs old & 64k miles. Final average consumption 39.2mpg.

Best Car I've Owned!

Yes in answer, I've only had mine a month, but the actual car (Reliability Issues Aside) its the most wonderful car I've owned. I've had 11 cars in 9 years but this one is staying. I have taken out extended warranty which will probably be "sorry sir, this isn't covered" for most of the day to day stuff but its a nice peace of mind if I'm suddenly landed with an engine replacement bill etc.

I'm currently in the process of having a few inherited niggles sorted out by my local mechanic from when I bought it. Then I'm hoping to just enjoy it for many years to come.

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 XS Auto Ipanema Sand

3years on and I still smile every time I see a germanic interpretation bouncing along (they are so uncomfortable on anything other than a motorway).

I mean really, what does it not do well?

Ok, it probably would not be very good on a track day, but who really wants to drive around in circles!

So apart from a track day what won't it do eh?  MY2014 SD4 XS

haha they can be chipped to be pretty powerful, think I saw a youtube vid of one out running a ford focus or something once. like you say though most people who own them don't buy them for racing qualities. I've been through that phase and its long behind me thank you! (plus I have a bike for that if I desire )

United Kingdom 2012 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Barolo Black

In the past 3 weeks my 59 reg XS has taken us to France, Luxembourg, Belgium and north west Scotland.
No problems at all. Serviced at Guy Salmon, Stratford (excellent) and given clean bill of health. What's more,
Mrs Mint likes it more than the VW Touareg it replaced.

Can I recommend Beadles Land Rover Sidcup. Speak to Paul Bradley, he is a consummate professional and having just bought our 8th LR from him, I have nothing but praise for Beadles. Not all dealers are Censored - might be time to try a different one?

Reassuring to read positive comments, I've been browsing the site for a while & tend to see plenty of problems being brought up. (I know people are more likely to complain than praise)
Hopefully I'll be ordering a FL2 within the next month or so.

Yes, don't take the negative comments into account only as there are some happy bunnies on here also. I bought mine from new and nearly three years later with 42,000 miles it's been trouble free. Smile
