It's a common fault with most vehicles with a six speed box, they have to make the reverse cog so small to get it in the box, this makes it so high geared. Quite a few of us already know this from regular experiance, perhaps some people should take a little notice of what the owners with vans say |

was it a braked trailer and you may have activated the trailer brakes my folding camper is approx 1000kg when loaded never had a problem reversing up hill or on the flat rainy-city

Also had low range and was not fitted with a Transverse engine and gearbox. |

Ifor Williams trailer with proper over run brakes. Don't have any issues with any other car I have used towing it |

Probably just me but I was forever stalling in reverse without a trailer, never did it in forward....Strange. |

open drivers door lean out, watch trailer and go like hell. works a treat.
