Blimy, only had my fl2 for two weeks and thought this was normal, as mine always shows this message on startup. Phoning dealer first thing. |

only had this message once before, I thought typical software problem and if it happens again I'll ask the dealer about it.

Hi npinks called the stealer today they sent me a parts recall notice and phoned to book in and they said they are waiting to hear from land rover technical as the clips they fitted on fri to someones broke the sunroof so there not going to fit anymore until they find out more. But knowing my dealership they fitted the part wrong there not the best 07my Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Baltic Blue,Privacy Glass,Ebony black leather,Land rover detachable towbar,S/S Side bars,Climair wind deflectors,Bramble Rash, |

At least they told you they didn't know what they was doing, and had a second go at fixing them on yours aswell

HDC fault today on startup - was -6 and a bit slow cranking.... think I can put this down to slightly low voltage on the batt??

Mine was slow starting this morning, but saw no HDC fault showing ( touch wood) On the starting issue how do you let the glow plugs stay on for abit. I my last car with a key i just turned the ignition to position 1 and let the plugs warm up, but you cant do this with the FL. |

THat's why there's a pause between pressing the button and it turning over, to let the glow plugs warm when it's really cold.

This am temp outside was -7 and this meesage came up, HDC not available. Does any one know how long the batteries are garanteed for ? |

It's not a battery problem as such, it's because the car isn't getting used for long enough.
