Metallic rattle noise when starting

We've a new noise now!
When you start the car there is a loud metallic rattle.
Any ideas? Only does it when you start the engine.
Thanks
MM

When you say 'start', do you mean when cranking? Does the noise stop once the engine is running? Cheers,
Raz

Hi Raz,
Depress clutch, press start button, engine cranks, fires then "clatter"...the metallic noise.
Started doing this yesterday.

Ok,
Had bonnet up... It's no where nearly as dramatic as the video. However the sequence of events is the same. Sad

Moan time...
Don't know when I'm going to have time to get it over. I'm going on holiday on Saturday and he needs to get me to the airport in Manchester. It's such a bloomin hassle- hour drive to TVLR, naf courtesy car, hour drive to work... Two hours of hassle even before I get to work (for 9). Then don't finish til 7, so have repeat process the next day.
I'm gettin really fed up now.

Bow down TVLR saved the day.
Pebble stuck between exhaust and shield! Another good reason to be annoyed by tar spraying and road chippings!
Also i will retract my statement about naf courtesy cars- brand new toyota yaris with reversing camera. Lol.
Seems like TVLR have a good thing going with hodgsons toyota rentals...
