Nice idea but no, it's not as good looking and desirable as a skip, so it has to be a Kia! |

You're right. I'll get Interflora to drop by some flowers and a commiserations card. It should make them feel better that others are thinking of them at this very sad time |

I wonder if he is able to make a successful claim under the warranty for it looking like something that Datsun or Toyota might have designed around 1974? Oddly enough, KIA don't mention (unless pushed) that it's limited to 100,000 miles, with a list of exclusions that grows longer as time goes by. Extended warranties like this aren't a reflection of the manufacturer's belief in the product, they are simply priced in to the manufacturer's cost of sale. No one would say that Vauxhall produces the best made cars in the world, yet they are able to provide a warranty that's valid, not for just 7 years, but as long as you keep the car (though, oddly enough, their confidence disappears at 100,000 miles too!) Mind you, all this turns out to be irrelevant, because it actually turns out to be a Hyundai after all!! Apparently, there's a difference |

When I decided to change the car I made up a short list of "possibles" and went to "Available Car" to check some out as they had a good range at Donington. The Kia was on my list until I walked round it, sat in it, walked round it again then walked away. Ditto the Xtrail, C Crosser, Sonata, etc. The Freelander was a definite "possible" but thought to be a bit pricy as was an E class estate. Eventually I found one to suit me and my budget - not at Available I might add... 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

Working for the Koreans I can echo what Trigger said regarding the warranty, it is practically worthless and purely marketing hype.
