New SD4 TD4e Tyres query

What tyres come as standard on the SD4's

I just bought some 19' Continentals CrossContact UHPe 105v from an Evoque owner

Investigation turn out they are low rolling resistance tyres, same loads ratings made out of a different compound and lighter than a standard UHP tyre and are supposed to improve mpg

Same as what's fitted on mine, low rolling resistance must include the outer edges Whistle

So you got UHPe's too

So I'm guessing this is how LR squeezed a little more mpg out too

Is it true you shouldn't mix lower weight UHPe with the standard UHP tyres Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I can't get my head round low rolling resistance tyres, what happens under braking, are they simply not as good, I can understand lateral grip can be provided by the tread pattern which is non existent radially?

My SD4 has cross contacts too. They aren't wearing too badly, 20,500 miles and they look like they have a few thousand miles left.

Tread looks same to me, they weigh less, thinner side wall I think, but I haven't noticed any different in driving with them, but mpg did go up, but I started using brand diesel at same time

Getting low on fronts, have a brand new UHP in garage which would save me £200 if they can be mixed Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
