Well after ranting and raving in the most obscene Swiss dialect she switched on her Doc mode. Couple of injections directly into the wound to anaesthetize the nerve endings and she set to - nearly an hour later she'd finished her handycraft. Sutured both the entry and exit wounds, then immobilised my fingers and thumb to prevent any movement from stretching the wounds. She said the exit wound should heal without a visible scar (back of hand) but the skin fold ridge line between the thumb and first finger could well be permanently disfigured - followed by the comment: "Serves you right you oaf". So no driving for some time. Jolly good - means I can skive off domestic duties, but one handed (right) typing on iBook is a bore.

Athestan, I am intrigued as to what you pierced your hand with and how? practicing with a crossbow? juggling with Global knives?...... JT Upgraded to an ex demo, 7 mth old, Rimini Red/Ebony Napoli Auto HSE on 28th Jan 2011, added roof rails, mudflaps and side strips.
Gone - A great 57 Plate, Auto SE, Bought Feb 2009, Roof Rails and Mudflaps added on purchase. Blue colour, anything but drug dealer black.....

Doesn't matter anyway his cars Grey and was difficult to see in light given off from the dark sky Mr. Green
