Has anyone had their FL2 serviced yet? Could you share how much it hurt the wallet?

Which is why I posted in here because if I convert the costs you guys pay I'm looking around $1,000 for a service! That very scary! The labour costs seem fairly high compared to what I use to pay for my previous car. Another question for the Aussies would you take your car to a trusted mechanic (i.e non-LR dealer)? 2007 TD4 SE |

I got my Freelander through Alto in Sydney and because I work for a 'large' company they threw in free servicing for 3 years.

No service as yet, however when i was doing research, i came up with prices from about $350 to $450 for the 12k one. Bit of a rip for an oil change but what are you going to do? The $350 ish one was on the gold coast, also Toowoomba was close to that also but they said they haven't done one yet, maybe you can be the guinnea pig? P.S. I'm trying to keep up with your off road antics after missing the mt mee trip, had water up to the lip of the bonnet on sunday, no worries, except for the wet patch in the drivers seat Wade |

hi ub2 if your tow bar was fitted by the dealers it should have been set up on text book to recognise you have a trailer and cancel the sensors when you have a trailer connected. If not you have to take it to dealers to be set up 07my Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Baltic Blue,Privacy Glass,Ebony black leather,Land rover detachable towbar,S/S Side bars,Climair wind deflectors,Bramble Rash, |

Oil filter, washer and washer additive looks OK. But the other lines look way too much. Do they list how much they charge for labour? The oil shouldn't be that much. If it is fully synthetic Mobil 1 I would guess around $80 to fill a six cylinder. I wonder what sundries is? |
