Forthcoming Range Rover?

Didn't have time to take a photo but whilst sat at traffic lights in Alfreton, Derbyshire on Sunday afternoon, a vehicle that seemed to be a FFRR turned left into the street and as it went by I noticed it was covered in a camouflage (black with white/cream random patches) and some odd bits sticking out to disguise the shape.

Is there a new FFRR due? LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

That's the sort of thing Taz. I can't remember the exact look of the camouflage but it was a larger vehicle than the FL2 and wasn't a Disco or Defender prototype so that leaves RR or RRS. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

They did ask Roy Hodgson but his unveiling speech was proving to be a stumbling block Whistle

I love it how the other driver was at fault and drove like a maniac and yet the finger seems to be pointing my way Rolling with laughter

The other incidents referred to were observational and not RTC's or anything I had any say in. I wish I had some onboard cameras to make doubters eat humble pie Laughing LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

We don't doubt a Time Lord - they're just too powerful to tangle with Wink

But all the Time Lords' have had a consistent imprefect characteristic., that being, an uncanny inability to see disaster approaching. Just ask Terry Nation and the other 91 writers of the broadcasts to date Shocked

United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey

I see the prototypes a lot hammering around the Warwickshire area, including the one that had broken down outside the JLR engineering centre on the A46, with a Disco 4 and RRSport travelling at warp speed to recover it before anyone noticed! Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

In last Sunday's Swiss press they had an article about the launch timetable of LR's replacement for the Defender currently coded DC100 entitled "When The Dinosaur Expires".

In that piece, LR's Marketing Chief states that the the all new Range Rover will be shortly launched and with hybrid drive. He did not give details of the "hybrid's" genetics. Maybe the hybrid didn't like the atmosphere of the A46 Warwickshire environment.

DC100 will be ready for sale in 2015, and will be called the Defender. Re the DC100, Edward's went to say that the current global annual sales of Defender is 20,00 units and that is not acceptable. The sales target for the new Defender will be 80;000 units p.a. They will be offered in 4cyl diesel and petrol plus for the USA, Middle East and Asia 6cyl petrol. Auto and Manual Transmissions. He commented on almost all its new technology (which is far too extensive to list here) but he also said that there are currently 5 more technologies still in the new Defender's technical brief that the LR Design Centre are completing, and no he would not discuss them.
