Meant to add it was whilst driving. Also wondered if LTB00290 is something an independant can do.

I had "steering column locked" when driving in France towing my caravan last year ! that was 2 days after it failed to start to do with the immobilizer and only a week after the EGR valve failed whilst also towing in France.

therefore towing wrecks your immobiliser, EGR valve and steering column - do not tow At work

My wife has a 2008 FL2 and occasionally gets "Steering Lock" message when the fob is in and the engine want start. Had a new lock fitted, no cure, in order to start the car have to remove battery lead for a couple of minutes then the car will start. This is not a good situation.Any help out there would be great.Taking it to a main dealer for a diagnostic check. |
